Pirates of the Caribbean...Sigh.....
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. This one revolves around the infamous Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) crossing paths with his impersonator Angelica (Penelope Cruz). Jack gets captured by Angelicas father while finding the Fountain of Youth. What the puck! They had everything going for them in the first 3. Im not sure what Jerry Brukheimer (the producer) was thinking by changing the director to Rob Marshall. I mean I know Gore Verbinski (the director of the first three) was busy and couldn't do it but....Well I don't know what they could have done. I was just disappointed. It was missing the length and edginess the other three had. The old ones seemed like it had a lord of the rings influence, but the new one is just...It's just... Very predictable, not witty, and did not have a Jack Sparrow kind of ending. It ended to nicely. It's supposed to end leaving the viewer thinking, "What will he do next???" This one just didn't do that.

Super 8? Nah... Super B****in
Super 8 is back! It's now on dvd and is Awesome Pawsome! A visually stunning and lovable film about a group of young boys trying to make a movie in a rural Ohio town, but end up getting an unexpected visitor. I know what your thinking,"Wasn't this supposed to be like a horror movie or like something?" The answer is no. It's a great adventure film, perfect for anyone. The little things that make this movie, such as how realistic the boys seem. It's like they're really living in the moment, making real conversation. Beautiful, action packed, and funny. A great film to kick back and watch with some friends on the weekend!
Tower Heist Review... Welcome Back Mr. Murphy!
Tower Heist is basically about a group of guys that are the staff at a multi-million dollar real estate. Once things go crazy with one of the residents, they decide they are going to steal 25 million bucks from him. One thing leads to another, and a romantic relationship builds between Josh Kovacs (Ben Stiller) who's leading the robbery, and Special Agent Claire Denham (Tea Leoni) the FBI agent that eventually arrests Kovacs.
The movie has its funny and unfunny parts, but is fun. When I say fun I don't mean it's great, I don't mean it's bad. Tower Heist takes the viewer on a trip that everyone has once day dreamed of, stealing 25 million dollars. Another thing the movie has accomplished is showing the world that Eddie Murphy is still a funny guy. I mean think about it, when was the last time Eddie Murphy came out with a good film? The only problem I had with Tower Heist, was the relationship between Josh Kovacs and Special Agent Claire Denham was left to open. Too the point where the viewer cant imagine what happens next. Overall a fun movie!
